Summer has finally arrived in the great Pacific Northwest. June was a mild and somewhat damp month but July has started off warm and is now getting hot! The garden is growing beautifully and I am torn between working in the dirt in my garden or working with mud at the potters studio! I try to do a bit of both most days, but more often than not, I find myself being pulled back into the studio. I have been busy filling some orders that I have received. I just sent out eight boxes of goodies today and have taken orders for several more pieces. I am happy that others are getting enjoyment out of some of my work and as long as this doesn't become "work" for me, then it remains a win/win situation. II continue to be surprised at how much I enjoy working with mud on the potter's wheel. There is a zen that comes with doing so. I find my happy place. Our community studio is now back up and running after a three month hiatus because of COVID-19. It makes my soul sing when I see familiar faces returning and with them, the energy of kindred spirits. We are not out of the woods yet. The virus isn't done with us...not even close. There is no "new norm" yet but we move forward taking each day as it comes. We must be smart in how we do things and how we stay safe but we must also live life and enjoy the things we can do safely knowing that at some point we will be able to do more. Happy summer - stay safe, stay healthy and keep potting!

These bowls are amazing, Janiece, and it make me really happy when I read how much you are enjoying being a potter. It's great! I love the colors you used in these bowls. Every time you make something new it is a treat for me to get to see them.
